I am inspired by the shape of the art collage as a whole, as much as the individual paintings themselves. Arranging art on your wall is an ART form. Here are some lovely walls to add to my inspiration folder. My goal is to cover my living room wall with beautiful artwork in an interesting and unique design {every square inch of it!} Currently I have different kids of frames, but I do like idea of having all of the same frames and different sizes and styles of art within them. From the basics in line art and spatial relationships and perspective to texture in art and understanding color - this is a wonderful book filled with illustrations and how-to projects. I highly recommend it!
As I discuss in smART business, the way you showcase your work is just as important as your work itself. I love to play around with styling ideas in my studio. Adding brightly colored fresh flowers, decorative bowls and related books is my tip for interesting and eye-catching photos. Make sure you set up your vignettes in a well lit area for bright natural lighting. I never use a flash.
