Freshly painted bright blooms!!!...a perfect gift for Easter, Birthday, or any occasion! This original watercolor measures 9.5"x6.5" and is hand painted using the highest grade paints on Yupo watercolor paper.
Absolutely gorgeous! You are certainly gifted. So, I am not an art person, and I have what is probably a stupid question. How does one frame such a piece? It doesn't look as though it can accomodate a mat. Perhaps a mat would compromise the integrity of the painting?
I would definitely mat this piece. The only time I float a painting, is when the watercolor paper has a rough(or deckled) edge. A nice thick white mat will make the tulips "pop". Thanks for inquiring. You may purchase this piece, or many others at www.lauratrevey.etsy.com
If you didn't want to cover any painting at all, I would float it on a white matboard. However, framers are pretty good, and they can get right up to the edge with a nice mat as well. I think it would look great either way. It is your personal preference...

I love any flower paintings. These are lovely. I agree a mat will add that finishing touch.

Would a mat cover up some of the edge?
