Absolutely gorgeous! You are certainly gifted. So, I am not an art person, and I have what is probably a stupid question. How does one frame such a piece? It doesn't look as though it can accomodate a mat. Perhaps a mat would compromise the integrity of the painting?

I would definitely mat this piece. The only time I float a painting, is when the watercolor paper has a rough(or deckled) edge. A nice thick white mat will make the tulips "pop".
Thanks for inquiring. You may purchase this piece, or many others at www.lauratrevey.etsy.com

I love any flower paintings. These are lovely. I agree a mat will add that finishing touch.

Would a mat cover up some of the edge?

If you didn't want to cover any painting at all, I would float it on a white matboard. However, framers are pretty good, and they can get right up to the edge with a nice mat as well. I think it would look great either way. It is your personal preference...
