Jewel Tone Abstract Painting

My latest abstract painting is available as a 24" by 15" large print or giclee on canvas. Rich jewel tone colors dance around the page. Either option would be a beautiful addition to your home decor.

Wildflowers in Watercolor

Inspired by the beauty in nature, I try to copy the feeling of being free in the outdoors. I am trying to paint more "painterly" lately, and I have a fondness for abstracts. Today I experimented with pale violets and blues, and after the paper was dry, I added deeper hues of reds and blues over top,
creating a layered effect.

Thought for the Day

An artist is not paid for his labor but for his vision. ~ James Whistler
I painted this little abstract using straight color without mixing. I did not want any of the colors to get that "muddy" look. I did place the watercolors touching each other so there is a slight blending on each side. Afterwards, I had fun with a couple of stamps and the circular image is a glass rim that I put paint on and used it as a stamp!

Garden Fresh in Watercolor

I am trying my hand at abstracts, and here are some small samples for sale in my shop. It would be cool to hang all three as a collage.
