But why would this be your last horizon experiment when you do them so well and they are so charming, beautifully painted, and so tempting (yes, I want to be there, right there, with my mask, fins, and snorkel on and ready to see what lies under that gorgeous water). You are making it very hard to choose just one print, Laura!!

Laura..
another WOW..
I can see myself either on the shore, peering out to sea, lost in the moment..totally mesmerized by the everchanging hues of the water as the clouds go scudding past..
or at sea, scanning the horizon for the first glimpse of land..perhaps a foreign shore..
either way, I see ME in the picture..totally immersed in the summer day..oblivious to everything but water and sky!
hugs..

I really like your horizon "experiments". I like the ones my husband shoots. Here's a link to one of the many he took on Anna Maria Island last May:

I am a huge fan of the horizon paintings! I like this one because of the bright colors!

This reminds me so much of "The Old Man and the Sea" by Hemingway. A beautiful clear ocean, the bright hot sun, and what I am sure are lots of fish just below the surface of the water.

A beautiful painting....reminds me of the waters here in SW Florida on the Gulf of Mexico.

I like the strong horizontal and the simple lines. It's what I like to paint.

This is such a happy painting. I was an art major in college...but never used water color.
