All that Jazz, Oversized Limited Edition print
"All That Jazz"
Original watercolor painting
For all you fellow artists, this was painted with masking fluid on the tulip. After I placed the fluid on the tulips, I was free to paint the background without interfering with the main subject. There is so much energy and movement in this piece. The colors and shapes keep your eyes dancing around the page.

it's lovely, laura! is that a wax resist in the background as well?
Great title for this one! Love the miskit used as calligraphy (something I've been working on, too).
Lovely--great idea for the background! And the tulip is beautifully painted.
stunning. my favorite yet!
Wow! I love the vibrancy!
Gorgeous. I love the movement in this one.
Beautiful! you have a beautiful collection! Comment on 5? I could comment on all of them! I especically love the Caribbean Time in your store! (keeping my fingers crossed for that one!:)
so much life here - I love your different styles, just when I think I've got you pegged, you come up with something different.
I loved this one when I saw it in your store! I'm so glad you chose to blog about it. And I like knowing how you did it - I'm definitely not an artist, but I'd want to try this if I ever get up the nerve...
thanks for all of your comments... I love reading what everyone has to say!!
perfect Spring tulip...visual delight indeed!

Oooooo, you are branching out! Love it.
Beautiful! I was instantly drawn to it. :)
I love how intense your colors are! I think too often watercolors get pegges as being soft and pastel. Which they do better than any other paint, but I really love the pure pigmented punch they can deliver too- and you show that off so well!
Gorgeous! This is right up my alley. So pretty and a neat technique!
Pretty Color combination
what an awesome piece! it has so much energy as others have said already. :) it's really gorgeous...
