Day Nine ~~ A Painting A Day

All that Jazz, Oversized Limited Edition print

"All That Jazz"
Original watercolor painting

For all you fellow artists, this was painted with masking fluid on the tulip. After I placed the fluid on the tulips, I was free to paint the background without interfering with the main subject. There is so much energy and movement in this piece. The colors and shapes keep your eyes dancing around the page.

This is the 9th day of my "A Painting A Day" series. I will post a "Painting a Day" for the month of April... and YOU will receive a free limited edition watercolor print, just for checking in!! You will be guaranteed a free limited edition print at the end of the month. There is no drawing to see who wins... Everyone WINS!!
To Receive your print, Follow these 3 easy steps:1. Follow my Blog2. Comment on at least 5 "Paintings of the Day" during the month of April.3. You may purchase your print of choice from
my shop beginning May 1st. I will refund 100% of the cost. All you pay is the shipping!

Great title for this one! Love the miskit used as calligraphy (something I've been working on, too).

so much life here - I love your different styles, just when I think I've got you pegged, you come up with something different.

I loved this one when I saw it in your store! I'm so glad you chose to blog about it. And I like knowing how you did it - I'm definitely not an artist, but I'd want to try this if I ever get up the nerve...

I love how intense your colors are! I think too often watercolors get pegges as being soft and pastel. Which they do better than any other paint, but I really love the pure pigmented punch they can deliver too- and you show that off so well!
